New book says Trump told Putin: I’ll act tough with you – for the cameras

It should no longer be a question as to whether Trump was working for the Russians. The Evidence is clear:

Donald Trump told Vladimir Putin he had to act tough next to the Russian president for the cameras, according to the former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham.

“OK, I’m going to act a little tougher with you for a few minutes,” Grisham says she heard Trump tell his Russian counterpart in Osaka in 2019. “But it’s for the cameras, and after they leave, we’ll talk. You understand.”

Grisham makes the claim in a new book, I’ll Take Your Questions Now, which will be published next week. The Washington Post obtained a copy.

Why hasn’t Trump been Arrested Yet?

You’re telling me that despite all the crimes Trump has committed the government can’t find a way to charge him for anything? Is it cowardice, indifference, or incompetence? Or all of the above? There has never been a more corrupt person in U.S. history. Trump built a career on fraud. It is time he be held account for his many crimes. Or he could end up in the White House again. In which case he will completely destroy our country.

Promises, promises:

Former President Donald Trump could be charged with multiple crimes over election interference in Georgia, a new report says.

The report by the Brookings Institution, a leading think tank in Washington DC, analyzes publicly available evidence that shows that Trump and his allies attempted to pressure Georgia officials to “change the lawful outcome of the election.”

Either Trump gets thrown in jail or he ends up in the White House. The later could mean the end of America and civilization:

A former senior Department of Homeland Security official who once accused the Trump administration of politicizing intelligence said Sunday that a return of President Donald Trump to the White House in 2024 “would be a disaster” for the U.S. intelligence community.

“(Former President Trump) has denigrated the intelligence community, he puts out disinformation — and that’s an existential threat to democracy and he is one of the best at putting it out and hurting this country,” Brian Murphy, who once led the DHS intelligence branch, said Sunday in an exclusive interview on ABC’s “This Week” with George Stephanopoulos.

50% of Republicans Don’t Want Trump as the Nominee in 2024

His prospects are diminishing by the day. The outrage over his re-election being ‘stolen’ is fading. Might have something to do with the lack of evidence. So that means that he’s a loser. And Republicans want to win in 2024:

Republicans and Republican-leaning independents say, 63% to 37%, that Trump should be the leader of the Republican Party. But they are about evenly split over whether having the defeated former President back on the ticket in 2024 would be an advantage: 51% say that Republicans have a better chance of retaking the presidency if Trump is the nominee, with 49% saying the party would be better off with a different nominee. That’s a very different landscape from 2019, when more than three-quarters of Republicans said their party had a better shot in 2020 with Trump as their nominee than they would with a different candidate.

Or maybe they think Trump isn’t very presidential:

Donald Trump was conspicuously missing from the memorial services attended by former presidents marking the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people on American soil – and Twitter users took note, sending “where’s trump” trending Saturday.

President Joe Biden and former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton attended the main ceremony in Lower Manhattan where the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers once stood, while former president George W. Bush spoke at a memorial close to Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where Biden later laid a wreath before visiting the Pentagon, where 44 people died. Lee Cochran, a spokeswoman for the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, confirmed that Trump’s people were given the same details about the ceremony but chose not to attend.

“He had the option to attend but decided to honor the day with different stops,” Trump’s spokeswoman, Liz Harrington, said.

Trump DOJ Scandal Continues to Grow

Whether anything will come of these revelations is problematic. At least there is some reporting. Without media coverage the politicians ignore it. We have to keep the pressure on. We must demand Trump be held accountable for his many crimes against our republic:

Former U.S. Prosecutor: Trump Committed a Crime in Trying to get DOJ to Overturn Election

The evidence is abundant that Trump tried to illegally strong-arm the Department of Justice to overturn the election results. So there is no excuse for the Biden DOJ not to prosecute:

Barbara McQuade, former U.S. attorney, and Devlin Barrett, national security reporter for the Washington Post, discuss the increasing amount of information in the public sphere that suggests Donald Trump and his supporters were acting out a plan to overturn the 2020 election and the point at which a criminal inquiry into Trump’s actions is warranted.

“Ethics Watchdog Requests Probe Into Trump Efforts To Get DOJ To Help Overturn Election”

The ethics watchdog Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) on Thursday asked the Department of Justice to investigate former President Donald Trump and former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows over their efforts to get DOJ officials to support Trump’s baseless claims of 2020 election fraud.

CREW alleges Trump and Meadows “illegally pressured” senior DOJ officials, which comes after CREW filed a complaint taking aim at Trump’s entreaties to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find” the votes he needed to win the state.

The group cites emails released last month by the House Oversight Committee showing how White House staff, including Meadows, repeatedly pushed then-acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and other DOJ officials to pursue election conspiracies.

Trump and Meadows are alleged to have violated Section 241 of U.S. criminal code, which makes it a crime to conspire to “injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person” in the “free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege” granted by the Constitution – in this case, the right to vote.

Donald Trump Wants you to Carry his “Official” Card

Trump's "official Trump card"

This is for all you suckers who have been drinking the Kool Aid. This is another money-making scam. Are you gonna fall for this one also:

On Wednesday night, Trump’s campaign — which somehow still exists — announced they wanted his supporters to carry “Trump cards” and asked his fans to vote on their favorite design. The cards say OFFICIAL TRUMP CARD on them in big letters and feature the Florida blogger’s illegible signature. One of the designs featured an enormous eagle that prompted many on social media to make comparisons to the sigil of the Nazi Party.

Trump: “Hitler Did a Lot of Good Things”

This story explains plenty. Trump is particularly proud of his German ancestry. He is also a great admirer of dictators. His friendly relationship with Putin and Kim Jong-Un are particularly telling. It also explains his fondness for white supremacists groups:

A lot of books are hitting the shelves right now promising to tell the shocking untold story about the Trump era—but this outrageous claim is going to be pretty hard to beat. An upcoming book by the Wall Street Journal’s Michael Bender recounts a remark from then-President Donald Trump in which he lavished praise on Adolf Hitler. The book—titled Frankly, We Did Win This Election—claims that Trump was talking to his chief of staff John Kelly on a 2018 visit to Europe to mark the centenary of the end of the first world war. Bender reports that Kelly was trying to teach Trump about the history of the conflict and he “connected the dots from the first world war to the second world war and all of Hitler’s atrocities.” Trump is said to have responded: “Well, Hitler did a lot of good things.” Kelly reportedly chided Trump to his face, telling him: “You cannot ever say anything supportive of Adolf Hitler. You just can’t.” According to The Guardian, Trump denied that he ever made the remark.

It’s not the first time we heard of Trump’s affinity for Hitler.

According to a 1990 Vanity Fair interview, Ivana Trump once told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that her husband, real-estate mogul Donald Trump, now a leading Republican presidential candidate, kept a book of Hitler’s speeches near his bed.

Donald Trump Inadvertently Admits Guilt on Criminal Charges Filed Against his Company

Trump has a habit of blurting out incriminating facts/evidence. Sometimes you have to wonder whether he does it on purpose. So far he’s gotten away with it. We’ll see once again whether there is method to his madness:

Former President Donald Trump appeared to acknowledge the core facts in New York prosecutors’ case against the Trump Organization and its chief financial officer even as he characterized the charges as a political attack aimed at him.

Trump told a crowd in Sarasota, Florida, on Saturday night that “every company” does “fringe benefits,” but he mocked prosecutors for pursuing the charges, saying it is “reminiscent of a communist dictatorship targeting your political opponents.” The comments mark the former President’s most substantial yet on the charges after they were unsealed last week in the first criminal case against his namesake company.
“Never before has New York City and their prosecutors or perhaps any prosecutors criminally charged a company or a person for fringe benefits,” Trump said. “Fringe benefits. Murders, OK; human trafficking, no problem. But fringe benefits, you can’t do that.”

Trump had a Bad Week. This week could be Worse.

So Trump had another rally. And it wasn’t exactly a success:

He’s losing it.
