Manchin Says Ocasio-Cortez Tweets More Than She Legislates, but He’s Missed More Votes

This guy is a perfect example of everything that is wrong with the Democratic Party. He is essentially pro-Trump. And that’s because his stated voted for Trump. He has for years flirted with Republicans against his own party. His criticism of AOC is all about maintaining the pro-Trump vote in his camp.

Democratic Senator Joe Manchin suggested congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweets more than she legislates in Congress—but the New York progressive has missed fewer votes and has supported the same number of bills which passed.

Manchin, who is from West Virginia, is regarded by many as the most conservative Democrat in the Senate, took aim at the so-called progressive faction of his party in an interview with The New York Times. He touted his role as a centrist lawmaker who sees a “golden opportunity to bring the country back together and to work in the middle” as President-elect Joe Biden prepares to enter the White House. Last month, Manchin drew the ire of Ocasio-Cortez and others after he said of efforts to redirect police funding, “Defund, my butt.”

Ocasio-Cortez, who commands a massive social media following compared with her congressional peers, posted a photo of herself glaring at the senator who is frequently ridiculed by more liberal members of Congress for his GOP-friendly stances. Manchin was blasted by a wide swath of Democrats for his “yes” vote on now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination in October 2018.

GOP Congressman Verbally Assaults Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

This kind of harassment by a pig Republican endangers the life of AOC. It emboldens violent and insane Republican supporters. We need to hold these thugs accountable:

Reps. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., reportedly got into a heated exchange that ended with Yoho uttering the words “f——- b—-.” (Getty/AP)

This appeared on FOXnews.com:

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer issued a stern condemnation of Rep. Ted Yoho after he reportedly got into a heated exchange in the Capitol with the left-wing freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that allegedly ended with Yoho uttering the words “f—— b—-.”

“The comments related to me were despicable,” Hoyer, D-Md., said. “Unacceptable. Mr. Yoho owes not only the Congresswoman an apology, but an apology on the floor of the House.”

It was The Hill that first reported the attack. They are no left-wing news source:

Rep. Ted Yoho (R-Fla.) was coming down the steps on the east side of the Capitol on Monday, having just voted, when he approached Ocasio-Cortez, who was ascending into the building to cast a vote of her own.

In a brief but heated exchange, which was overheard by a reporter, Yoho told Ocasio-Cortez she was “disgusting” for recently suggesting that poverty and unemployment are driving a spike in crime in New York City during the coronavirus pandemic.

“You are out of your freaking mind,” Yoho told her.

Ocasio-Cortez shot back, telling Yoho he was being “rude.”

The two then parted ways. Ocasio-Cortez headed into the building, while Yoho, joined by Rep. Roger Williams (R-Texas), began descending toward the House office buildings. A few steps down, Yoho offered a parting thought to no one in particular.

“Fucking bitch,” he said.
